John and Kym Horsey are the proprietors of Ipswich Floor Sanding and Polishing. John and Kym both feel fortunate to have been raised in the Ipswich area with their respective families and totally understand the dynamic of Ipswich and its remarkable people and history. John is continuing the family business of Ipswich Floor Sanding and Polishing from his father-in-law, Ken Boardman (K&B Floorsanders), who sanded and polished timber floors in the Ipswich area for over 55 years.
About John
John is fortunate enough to have learnt all aspects of the trade from Ken and currently has over 30 years of professional experience, specifically in the sanding and polishing of timber floors, staircases, and decks. John has completed over 4,000 jobs in this time and is now in the privileged position to be passing his knowledge and experience on to his son, EJ Horsey, who is in his fourth year of training and will be fully qualified, and QBCC licenced in the Floor Sanding and Polishing industry by the end of 2024.
About EJ
EJ attended Ipswich Grammar School, where he dedicated himself to his education and attained an ATAR of 93.5 (OP3 equivalent) at the end of 2020. EJ during his schooling years regularly attended floor sanding and polishing jobs with Ken and John on weekends and holidays and decided that this was what he wished to do for a career as the end results of jobs were so rewarding. EJ has a great work ethic and attitude towards learning the Floor sanding and Polishing trade with an obvious sense of pride in the transformation of the jobs we complete.
John attends to the quoting of the jobs along with completing them with EJ, who has become a very important part of Ipswich Floor Sanding and Polishing being able to continue creating beautiful timber floor finishes for the next 30 years.
